CUR: Curaçao Suites Hotel

Curaçao Suites Hotel (3*) is located in Otrobanda, one of the quarters of Willemstad that's separated from the downtown area by a channel called Sint Anna Bay. It's a cosy hotel comprising only 17 suites at affordable prices, not to mention that buffet breakfast is always included in the room rates.

As my BFF and I made our booking directly via the hotel website, we were entitled to free two-way airport transfer.

We were the only two passengers on that van.

I wonder if that gate-like structure symbolises something.

The journey between Hato International Airport and Otrobanda took about 15 minutes.

The front desk is available 24/7.

The staff speak English, Dutch, Spanish and Papiamentu, a Creole dialect.

Refreshing orange and lime infused water is available daily.

Our room, 108, is the one closest to the front desk.

Each of the studio suite is 50 square metres big.

There are 42 cable channels on the TV.

Do you always use an electronic safe when available? Why or why not?

We didn't use the kitchenette during our short stay in the island.

I keep telling myself to invest in a coffee machine at home, but so far I haven't bought one yet.

I wasn't expecting to see two sinks in the toilet.

The perfume diffuser makes the toilet full of lavender aroma.

Unfortunately, there's no panorama to see from the bedroom.

During our stay there, we didn't see anyone sitting in the indoor area.

Unless there's nothing else to eat, I don't usually take cornflakes from the buffet table for breakfast.

We enjoyed our breakfast at the windy outdoor seating area.

Can you see the water body?

There's an iguana viewpoint, but sadly, we didn't manage to spot any.

There's no swimming pool and gym within the premise of the hotel, but there's a recreational place with such facilities nearby.
