QAT: Museum of Islamic Art (Part 1)

Near Doha Port, Doha, Qatar Sat-Thu: 9.00am - 7.00pm Fri: 1.30pm - 7.00pm Located on the southern end of Doha Corniche is Museum of Islamic Art, which is built on an island off an artificial projecting peninsula near the traditional harbour. Established in late 2008, the five-storied museum houses permanent and temporary exhibitions, and it has got its own park.

QAT: The Royal Riviera Hotel

Al Safliya Street, Doha, Qatar Offering a total of 154 guest rooms, The Royal Riviera Hotel (4*) is 15 minutes away from Hamad International Airport by car. Overlooking Doha Corniche, a waterfront promenade along Doha Bay, it's located less than 1 km away from Museum of Islamic Art in the capital city of Qatar.

A 5 Star Airline as rated by Skytrax, it has been a member of the Oneworld alliance since late 2013.

FIN: Finnair AY131 (Economy)

HEL-SIN (11h 35m) Airbus 350-900 ETD: 11.55pm (GMT + 3)  ETA:  4.30pm (GMT + 8) It was time to fly back to Singapore with Finnair in the Economy Class cabin. My BFF and I'd originally wanted to experience its Business Class service when flying out of Helsinki, Finland, but we only managed to win the bid upgrade for  AY132  from Singapore to Helsinki at the beginning of our journey.

FIN: Vantaa Airport

Lentoasemantie, Vantaa, Finland Vantaa Airport is the main gateway to Helsinki, Finland, which is located in the city of Vantaa that's approximately 17 km from the capital city. Originally built for the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, the airport is the largest in the country and the fourth busiest in the Nordic countries in terms of passenger count.

Tallinn, Estonia Tallinn is the capital and the largest city of Estonia. It retains its walled Old Town, which is known as Vanalinn in the local language. Covering an area of 110 hectares with a population count of no less than 4,500, Vanalinn was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997 due to its exceptionally intact 13th century city plan.

Lai 50, Tallinn, Estonia Daily: 10.00am - 6.00pm Given its towering spire, St. Olaf's Church is an unmissable landmark in Tallinn Old Town. No one exactly knows when the church was built, but the first known written record about it points to the 13th century, as well as the fact that it was extensively rebuilt in the 14th century.

EST: St. Peter and St. Paul's Cathedral

Vene 18, Tallinn, Estonia Daily: 10.00am - 5.00pm After visiting St. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Paramaribo, Suriname earlier, my BFF and I dropped by its counterpart in Tallinn Old Town. Not constructed from wood unlike the former, St. Peter and St. Paul's Cathedral was the first cathedral that we went to in Tallinn. It took three years to be completed from 1841 to 1844.

Old City Harbour, Tallinn, Estonia One of the five ports within the state-owned company Port of Tallinn, Tallinn Passenger Port is the biggest and busiest in Estonia. As the main gateway to Tallinn Old Town, it has seen a steady increase in the number of passengers annually, which has almost doubled from approximately 5.7 million in 2001.

Its history can be traced back to 1965 when the Soviet Union-based Estonian Shipping Company started introducing passenger ferry services between Helsinki, Finland and Tallinn, Estonia.

FIN: Helsinki West Harbour

Tyynenmerenkatu 14, Helsinki, Finland There's one other country that I covered during my summer trip last June, which was Estonia. My BFF and I decided to have a day trip to Tallinn Old Town. The West Harbour of Helsinki serves passenger ships to Tallinn and St. Petersburg, Russia. It's located in the southwestern part of Helsinginniemi peninsula.

South of Helsinki, Finland Welcome to the second part of my adventure in Suomenlinna, one of the seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Finland. After exploring the northern island as described in Part 1 , my BFF and I made our way to the southern island to discover more of the unique military architecture.

South of Helsinki, Finland Translated as 'Castle of Finland' from Finnish, Suomenlinna is an inhabited 18th century sea fortress built on a few islands off the coast of southern Helsinki. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991, it offers a picturesque landscape that's perfect for a day trip from the city.
