KIX-KUL (7h) Airbus 330-300 ETD:  9.55am (GMT + 9) ETA: 3.55pm (GMT + 8) The eagerly awaited post-pandemic family trip concluded with a pretty enjoyable flight on Malaysia Airlines MH53 from Osaka, Japan to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, followed by MH607 to Singapore. Unlike the inbound flight  MH52  that encountered a one-hour delay, the outbound flight departed on time as scheduled.

[MH608] SIN-KUL (1h) Boeing 737-800 ETD:  5.25pm (GMT + 8) ETA: 6.25pm (GMT + 8) Welcome to the start of a new series of travel posts! Our long-awaited family trip, which happened in December 2022, led us to explore the Kansai region of Japan. This series is going to be a rather brief one as I've unfortunately lost most of the photos I took, except those I've shared on Instagram. Still, join us as we revisit and relive our adventure!

KUL-SIN (1h 5m) Airbus 320 ETD: 9.25pm (GMT  +  8) ETA: 10.30p m (GMT + 8) We've finally come to this post that shall put an end to the series on the short trip to Tokyo, Japan in search of early-blooming  sakura (lit. cherry blossom). It'd been a while since I last took a flight with Jetstar, and I finally did again for the short hop back to Singapore from the low-cost carrier terminal of Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia.

MAS: Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2

Jalan KLIA, Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia I've been to the main terminal of  Kuala Lumpur International Airport  (KLIA), which is the principal international airport of Malaysia, a number of times, but last year finally saw me going to its other terminal known as KLIA2 for the first time. Built at approximately MYR 4 billion (~S$1.31 billion) , KLIA2 is the world's largest purpose-built terminal for low-cost carriers.

NRT-KUL (8h 5m) Boeing 787-9 ETD: 11.05am (GMT  +  9) ETA: 6.10p m (GMT + 8) There was only one reason why I flew from Narita International Airport in Japan to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia instead of Singapore straight away: the amazing deal by Alaska Mileage Plan. Alas, the airline has decided to terminate the so-called '25,000 miles trick' for intra-Asia routes with a stopover in October 2019.

KUL-BWN (2h 20m) Airbus 320 ETD: 12.10pm (GMT + 8)  ETA:  2.30pm (GMT + 8) In a bid to fly with as many airlines as possible, I decided to give the flag carrier of Brunei a shot. I flew from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as the one-way air ticket was unbelievably much cheaper compared to that from Singapore, especially since I'd be continuing my journey to Kota Kinabalu a few days later.

MAS: Plaza Premium Lounge @ Kuala Lumpur International Airport Satellite Terminal

Level 2 Satellite Terminal, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Selangor, Malaysia Daily: 24 hours Remembering what I'd read online about the Plaza Premium Lounge at the satellite terminal being constantly crowded, I initially didn't even think of using my Priority Pass membership. However, my BFF said that we ought to take a look. It turned out that the lounge was pretty quiet that morning.

Jalan KLIA, Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia From Terminal Bersepadu Selatan, my BFF and I walked to Bandar Tasik Selatan where we were going to take KLIA Ekspres to the airport. Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the largest and busiest airport in the country, is located approximately 45 km south of the city centre.

MAS: Terminal Bersepadu Selatan

Jalan Terminal Selatan, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Malaysia Daily: 24 hours This entry shall mark the beginning of the series of posts on my latest trip that was done in last month during the school holidays. My journey began with a bus ride from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, alighting at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), which is the main long distance bus terminal in the capital city of Malaysia.
