JPN: Ocean Expo Park

Image
424 Ishikawa, Motobu, Okinawa, Japan As mentioned in the previous post , Japan's best aquarium is the centrepiece of Ocean Expo Park that's located on the tip of Motobu Peninsula in northern Okinawa, which is about 90 km away from Naha. Of course, there are many other attractions that one can look forward at the large park that stretches about 3 km along the coast.

JPN: Mihama American Village

Image
9-1 Mihama, Chatan, Okinawa, Japan It's no surprise that there are still numerous American military bases in Okinawa if one thinks about the history surrounding the prefecture. One of the most notable military facilities that's been redeveloped as a commercial area is Mihama American Village. The entertainment complex first opened its doors to the public in 1998.

CAN: Sunset Beach Park

Image
1204 Beach Avenue, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Situated at the mouth of False Creek, Sunset Beach Park offers a somewhat quieter beach experience in Vancouver. Lifeguards are on duty between late May to early September every year. At the park section, there are walking, biking and inline skating paths.

UAE: Corniche Beach

Image
Corniche Road, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi's Corniche Beach is said to be an "immaculate outdoor destination ... overlook[ing] the glory of the open Arabian Gulf". Divided into paid and unpaid areas, the beach stretches over 2 km. My BFF and I didn't go to the paid area, which have more things going on, so this post showcases only the unpaid area.

SXM: Maho Beach

Image
Along Beacon Hill Road, Simpson Bay, Sint Maarten Maho Beach is well-known for its location being adjacent to Princess Juliana International Airport, where you can have the experience of having aircraft flying just a short distance above your head. At the same time, you can have a feel of jet blast, which is the rapid air movement produced by aircraft jet engines.

CUR: Mambo Beach

Image
Bapor Kibra, Curaçao After a morning of fun at Curaçao Ostrich Farm and getting our stomachs filled there, my BFF and I were heading to Curaçao Sea Aquarium that's in the vicinity of Mambo Beach. Possibly the most famous beach in the island, Mambo Beach is definitely a nice place to bask in the warmth of the sun.

FJI: Natadola Beach

Image
Sanasana, Fiji My BFF and I were already feeling pretty tired after the trek at Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park that forced us to shed a lot of sweat. Natadola Beach was the last place that our driver wanted to show us before we went back to the hotel. Shared by Natadola Beach Resort and InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa, the beach promises miles of pure white sand.
