POL: Metropol Hotel
Marszalkowska 99A, Warsaw, Poland
Welcome to the capital city of Poland! My BFF and I were looking for a hotel with easy access to go to Warsaw Chopin Airport as we'd eventually be leaving the country early in the morning. Metropol Hotel (3*) was our choice, which has stood the test of time since 1965.

At Warszawa Lotnisko Chopina railway station, each of us purchased a 24-hour public transport ticket from one of the ticketing machines. One ticket costs 15.00 zł (~S$5.50).

We took a train to Warszawa Srodmiescie railway station.

Don't forget to validate your ticket by inserting it into one of the yellow-coloured machines. |
It wasn't too long a walk to reach the 8-storey hotel building.

The standard check-in time is at 2.00pm, but since our room was ready at 11.30am, we were allowed to check-in earlier without additional charge.

Expect a jazz performance at Metro Jazz Bar & Bistro every Tuesday and Thursday. |

We went up to the second floor.

When doing the booking online, I didn't notice that the standard rooms have got no air-conditioning. However, the room didn't feel stuffy.

The glass bottles are refilled with soda water daily. |

All I needed was a refreshing cold shower after I was done taking photos of the room. I certainly enjoyed the powerful shower.

There's a very small balcony attached to the room.

Buffet breakfast is served daily at the restaurant located on the ground floor. Find out more about the spread here.

Are you a lover of cold cuts? |

To aid digestion when travelling, I usually take some yogurt at breakfast. |

Take note that there's neither a swimming pool nor a gym at the hotel.
