One can see the multi-coloured temple from a distance when he steps out from the main entrance of the Nadi Downtown Hotel. The two pictures below were taken from outside the compound of the temple.
At the point of writing, the entrance fee is FJD 5.00 (~S$3.25) per person. As with all Hindu temples in the world, you have to remove your footwear before entering the compound, and you can leave them on the shoe racks provided.
There's a pair of eyes at the back of the temple. |
Photography isn't allowed inside the temple itself, which actually has got a lot of vibrant murals. My BFF and I were engaged in a conversation with one of the monks there, who took great interest in Singapore. The rest of the time was spent walking around to see the various statues available.
Such a majestic peacock statue! |
Before leaving the compound, we took notice of nature-related things as shown below.
Does anybody know the name of this flower? |
Literally blessed to be taken care of next to the temple! :) |
BTW, it's almost confirmed that I'll be going to the largest Hindu temple in the northern hemisphere at the end of the year. :)
