BEL: Hampton by Hilton Minsk City Centre

8 Tolstogo Street, Minsk, Belarus

Located not far from the main train and bus stations in Minsk, the capital city of Belarus, Hampton by Hilton (3*) is a contemporary hotel suited for leisure and business travellers alike. The 24-hour front desk is always manned by one or two staff members conversant in English.

The moment my BFF and I walked out of the arrival hall of Minsk National Airport, we saw shuttle bus no. 1400-TK waiting to pick up passengers for the 7.40am departure. Each of us paid BYR 4.00 (~S$2.70) for the ride to the city centre.

The journey took approximately 20 minutes.

From the main bus station, we took a slow walk to the hotel while admiring the snowy surroundings.

Hmm, so pretty~

The hotel houses a total of 120 guest rooms.
We reached the hotel at around 8.30am. As early check-in would incur an extra cost, we decided to hang around in the lobby for about an hour while charging our phones and simultaneously chatting with our loved ones back home.

Whenever you're hungry or feeling peckish, there's a 24-hour snack counter.

I managed to take a quick look of one of the meeting rooms as the door was opened that morning.

We returned to the hotel just before 2.00pm after lunch. When we took the middle of the three elevators up, it got stuck for a minute or so. What an experience!

The floor area of the room is 18 square metres.

Don't you love the surreal painting?

Only two complimentary bottles of mineral water are provided per stay.

Neither toothbrush nor toothpaste was spotted inside the bathroom.

I love the fragrant shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.

Take a look at the view from the room on the eighth floor.

Here are photos of the keycard and some denominations of the Belarusian Ruble respectively.

I used the small gym thrice during my 5D4N stay. Nobody else was there when I did my workout.

Yes, clear your mind and pump harder!
Read here for the buffet breakfast offerings and here for the local dishes we tried on the last evening of our stay in the country.

We went to the castle shown in the portraits.

The long Belarusian words can't simply mean 'blend', right?

As I had enough Hilton Honors points for a free one-night stay, I made use of those and thus only paid for three nights.
