SKR: Manjanggul Cave

182 Manjanggul-gil, Jeju Island, South Korea
Daily: 9.00am - 6.00pm

From Jeju City, my BFF and I travelled east to see for ourselves one of the finest lava tunnels in the world. About 1 km of the 13.4 km Manjanggul Cave is open to the public, leading to the gorgeous lava tube that's 30 m in height and 23 m in breadth.

We took a cab after having a simple breakfast we bought from Lotte Mart the previous night.

Look at how empty the highway was!

Such a cool sculpture, don't you think?

The entrance fee is ₩2,000 (~S$2.45) per adult and ₩1,000 (~S$1.25) per child. Let's go!

Damp and wet, the place was 13.5 degree Celsius when I was there.

Looks creepy, eh?

Known as Stone Turtle, the natural rock formation is shaped like Jeju Island.
I really enjoyed the relaxing and cooling walk inside the cave. Soon enough, we were almost at the end of the 1 km walk.

Just like in an RPG, I felt like I was about to face a boss soon. Haha! :P

Such a majestic lava tube! :O
Smile~

We were lucky that no one else was at the end of the road. After taking enough pictures, we slowly walked back to the entrance of the cave.

Tumour? xD

See you, Manjanggul!
We walked through a long road to the bus stop along the highway. We'd actually wanted to visit the Gimnyeong Maze Park along the way, but since time was pretty tight, we decided to forgo the idea.

Seems fun!
We then took a bus to go further east. Care to make a guess where were we going?
