GEO: Hotel City Centre

24 Queen Tamar Avenue, Tbilisi, Georgia

Hotel City Centre (4*) in the capital city of Georgia is a relatively new player that's strategically located not far from Tbilisi Railway Station. In general, the staff are friendly and professional. Many people have commended the service rendered on the Internet.

From Tbilisi International Airport, my BFF and I caught Bus 37 that costs GEL 0.50 (~S$0.25) per person. The journey to Tbilisi Railway Station took around 35 minutes.

BTW, there was a drunkard on the bus who lighted a cigarette and got thrown out by the driver. xD

We had requested earlier via e-mail for an early check-in if possible. To our delight, the receptionist told us that we could do so without any additional charges. On top of that, we got upgraded to a slightly better room.

Such a tasteful lobby lounge! :)

After thanking the staff profusely, we made our way to the room on the third floor.

The size of most rooms in the hotel is small, including the one assigned to us. We weren't complaining though as we felt comfortable.

The hotel is quite generous with tea bags of different flavours.

Below is the view from the room nearing sunrise and at sunset.

The only stuff I didn't see in the bathroom were toothbrushes and toothpaste, but not an issue as we always bring our own.

Good shower power!
We caught about two hours of sleep before going out for lunch. When we came back in the late afternoon, there was a pleasant surprise of fruits and churchkhela (Georgian candle-shaped candy made of grape must).

Breakfast is served buffet style with a selection of cooked-to-order dishes. I just wrote about it here yesterday.

Free flow of sliced churchkela, anyone?

I was so happy to see cherry juice at the buffet line.
I only used the 20 kg dumbbells in the gym.

I chose the correct hotel for our 4D3N stay in Tbilisi for sure. Given the opportunity, I'd certainly love to stay at the hotel again.
