BAH: Bahrain International Airport

Road No. 2404, Muharraq, Bahrain

Bahrain International Airport is located in Muharraq, an island approximately 7 km away from Manama, the capital city of the country. It used to be the first international airport in the Persian Gulf, serving regular flights from London, the UK to Delhi, India via Bahrain and vice versa.

My BFF and I made use of the free shuttle service offered by Swiss International Palace Hotel to the airport. We left the hotel at 9.00pm sharp.

We asked our driver to drop us at the entrance closest to Gulf Air's check-in counters.

One can also find Costa Coffee in the transit area.
The check-in area is basic. It was spotless when we were there.

I only saw that self-service kiosk after checking-in at the counter.
Passing through the immigration counter and security screening area was fast. We had lots of time to kill as our flight to Tbilisi, Georgia would depart at 1.30am.

We exchanged the remaining Bahraini Dinar to Turkish Lira.

I initially planned to go to Muscat, Oman, but have decided to wait till its new airport is ready.
We then walked to the area where the gates are located.

Bread and ... Lots of potato chips!
Armed with our Priority Pass membership cards, we went up the escalator opposite Gate 16 to go to one of the airport lounges.

The choice was obvious: Dilmun Lounge!
