Bab al-Bahrain Avenue, Manama, Bahrain
A souq is a marketplace or commercial quarter in Western Asian and North African cities. Manama Souq is the old bazaar area of Bahrain, which has been redeveloped and reopened to the public on 20 July 2013.
After a long walk from
Qal'at al-Bahrain to absorb the sights and sounds that the city has got to offer, we finally reached the shopping streets.

Perfumes, anyone? |
|
Do you fancy dried fruits? I don't. |
|
I love the colours of the exterior of the mosque. |
As we followed Google Maps to where we wanted to have lunch, we eventually found ourselves standing in front of The Mall.
The very first thing that we did upon entering the building was to find a seat at the famous
Naseef Café as our stomach were already complaining.
|
Thankfully, we managed to get a seat within 5 minutes. |
|
Yummy-looking ice cream~ |
After lunch, we explored the not-so-big building.
|
There are other eateries on the first floor. |
|
As you can see, apart from the eateries, the rest was pretty empty. |
Let's go up to the second floor.
|
There was nobody at the jewelry stall. |
|
Those ornate lamps made me think of genie. Haha... |

The leftmost picture features G&C, the first electronic brand in the Kingdom. |
There's a synagogue, which is no longer in use, somewhere nearby. We didn't manage to locate it, but anyway, I concur after looking at a picture from the Internet that it can't be identified in any way as a Jewish house of worship from its appearance.
