LAO: Lotus Villa Boutique Hotel

15 Ban Phone Hueang, Unit 3 Kounxoa Road, Luang Prabang, Laos

I recall spending a long time trying to decide which hotel to book as many hotels are having good reviews. In the end, my BFF and I decided on Lotus Villa Boutique Hotel (3*), which is conveniently located near many places of attractions. It boasts its fifteen tranquil rooms and two suites that are all facing the tropical courtyard garden.

The journey from the airport to the hotel took about 20 minutes if I'm not mistaken.

Quite a lovely sunset, no?
There were five people taking the shared airport shuttle van, including us, and we were the first one to be dropped off at the rustic hotel of choice.

All the information that you need is available on that table.

Do note that the staircase is quite steep.
While the front desk person settled all the necessary check-in documents, we were treated to fresh cut fruits and rosella drink.

After getting our key, we climbed up the stairs and checked out our room for the next three nights.

I can just sit on the balcony all day long with a good book in hand.

Hot coffee or tea was what I needed in such a cooling weather.

I really enjoyed the aroma of the shower gel~
One of the perks of staying in the hotel is the surprise freebie everyday that comes with a simple note and tomorrow's weather forecast.

It was really nice to take a slow walk outside in the evening. It's a safe neighbourhood, but as with any other places in the world, it's important to exercise caution.

Did you know that the white circle on the flag represents the moon shining over Mekong River?
Breakfast is served daily at the courtyard garden. Read here to discover the a la carte buffet menu.

Khao Soi is a Burmese-influenced dish that's common in northern Thailand and nothern Laos.

You can borrow a bicycle for free from the hotel. It felt so good cycling around the peaceful town.

I forgot to mention earlier that there's no TV in the room, but I'm pretty sure you won't really need that either.
