MAS: Kuala Lumpur International Airport

Jalan KLIA, Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia

From Terminal Bersepadu Selatan, my BFF and I walked to Bandar Tasik Selatan where we were going to take KLIA Ekspres to the airport. Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the largest and busiest airport in the country, is located approximately 45 km south of the city centre.

As can be seen from the picture below, we reached the train station at 5.30am. We bought two one-way tickets to the airport at MYR 38.40 (~S$12.15) each.

If you start your journey from KL Sentral, a one-way ticket to the airport costs MYR 55.00 (S$17.45).

"Train is coming! Train is coming! Train is coming~"
The interior of the train somewhat reminds me of that of Hong Kong Airport Express.

I remember the train ride was about half an hour long. I've been to the airport several times, but that was the very first time I was outside the transit area.

The airport was pretty crowded at 6.00am.

A very huge vending machine!
As the check-in counters of Royal Brunei Airlines weren't opened yet, we tried to kill some time walking around and having a simple breakfast at KFC.

A replica of KL Tower spotted!
Wow, sweet! <3

You may want to consider Kopi Times for local cuisine.

Melon was really hungry after the long bus ride.
Following the breakfast, we went to the viewing gallery.

How many airports are there in Malaysia?

Can you spot two Batik Air planes in this picture?
Next to the viewing gallery is a playground, which happened to be empty. It was time for Pikachu and Melon to get some pictures taken.

Pilot Pikachu and co-pilot Melon~ :D
We were among the first few passengers to check-in. After immigration clearance and security scan, we wandered around the transit area of the main terminal building before taking the aerotrain to the satellite terminal.

Certainly a must-take picture for plane lovers!

I'd really love to bring all those home~ :)

The 176,000 square metres satellite terminal is equipped with a total of twenty seven boarding gates, as well as a wide range of shops and eateries.

An Instagram-worthy photo, no? :P

A rainforest in the middle of the terminal building~

As we had more time to kill, we decided to give the Plaza Premium Lounge a try. That shall be the topic for the next post.
