FJI: Nadi Downtown Hotel
Queens Road at Nadi Downtown, Nadi, Fiji
Nadi Downtown Hotel (2*) is the only hotel at the bustling downtown, located within a short walking distance to the largest Hindu temple in the southern hemisphere. It offers a 24-hour free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel as long as one can show the proof of booking. For the return journey to the airport, the hotel offers two free shuttle services at 5.00am and 1.00pm daily.

The picture above is taken from the back side of the building. Here's how the main entrance looks like.
The small hotel houses the PVV Travel & Tours agency for guests to book various activities. Wi-Fi service is available for a fee, but take note that they may occasionally run out of the scratch cards during peak season.
The room rate includes light breakfast from 7.30am to 9.00am. The menu booklet promises toasts with jam and butter, orange juice, coffee, tea and fresh seasonal fruits. However, I didn't see any fruits during my stay there.
Check-in was fast. My BFF and I were assigned to a room on the second floor of the building at one of the corners.
It looks more like a motel, doesn't it? |
I was glad that the room, despite small, was clean enough for our 3D2N stay. It was pretty noisy on the first night till around midnight, but relatively peaceful on the second.
There were only two watchable channels on that TV. |
Pure ceylon tea, black coffee, creamer and sugar sachets |
Only a small bar of soap made in Indonesia was provided. |
One evening, I decided to climb up to the third floor to see the small balcony of the hotel, where I took the picture shown below.

Do look forward to the next posts, which are going to feature the places I went to in Nadi and Sigatoka in the southwestern part of Viti Levu.
