SIN: Marina Bay Sands

10 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore

Boasting itself as the most spectacular hotel in Singapore, Marina Bay Sands has lent its architectural wonder to the glittering city landscape since 2010. I actually had my staycation way before the inception of my travel blog, but hopefully it can offer a glimpse into the hotel experience nonetheless.

The following two pictures of the building, designed by Moshe Safdie who was initially inspired by decks of cards, were taken at two separate occasions.

I took this particular picture during iLight Marina Bay 2017.
The grand hotel houses a total of 2,561 guest rooms.

Such a colourful wall!

Can you see the wiry decoration up there?

I booked a room that didn't include buffet breakfast.

Quite a cool elevator interior, eh?

Welcome to my room on the 25th floor!

Comfort at its best! :)

I think I can sleep on that comfy couch~

Once you remove an item from the mini bar, it'll be automatically charged to your account. I suppose there's an infra-red mechanism or something in the fridge.

Let's check the bathroom out.

Before going into the bathroom... :P

I don't quite like the colour of the wall tiles.

I really enjoyed the view of Gardens by the Bay from the room.

What about the vista from the topmost floor?

The renowned infinity pool is the world's longest elevated swimming pool at 146 m, which is located 191 m above the ground.

Most people were sunbathing instead of swimming that afternoon.

I made use of the opportunity to take a dip twice during my 2D1N stay.

A mandatory shot, of course! :D

That Japanese guy was so animated. Haha... xD

Hotel guests have access to Banyan Tree Fitness Club on the 55th floor. I didn't get to use it when I was there though.

I had dinner at Sky on 57 helmed by chef Justin Quek. The restaurant, however, has closed down and is going to be replaced by Lavo in January 2018 as part of the resort's "commitment to renew and refresh our offerings" according to a spokesman.

You can read the review here.

So pretty~ <3

I've always wanted to go for a staycation at The Fullerton Hotel, but haven't had the chance to so far.

The infinity pool closes at 11.00pm.

Read here to find out more about the in-room dining service.

After checking-out, I went for window shopping at The Shoppes before heading home.

I don't think I'll ever enter the casino as Singapore residents are required to pay a 24-hour entry levy of S$100.00 or an annual entry levy of S$2,000.00.
