KEN: Turkish Airlines Lounge @ Jomo Kenyatta International Airport

Terminal 1E, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, Kenya
Daily: 24 hours

Located near Gate 4A, Turkish Airlines Lounge stands out in terms of appearance in the sterile-looking Terminal 1E, presumably the portion that was affected by the fire that broke out in 2013. It's a small lounge that usually gets very busy only in the evening prior to some red-eye long-haul flights.

It's the only lounge in Terminal 1 that's accessible to Priority Pass members. There are two others in Terminal 2, which serves mainly low-cost carriers.

Generally speaking, there are three open seating areas separated by arches.

There were less than 10 guests when I was there.

Which flag do you like better?
In addition, there's a dimly lit quiet zone with more sofas.

I noticed the presence of a PlayStation 4 console near where I was seated.

Looking through the window, I saw two aircraft belonging to Jambojet, a Kenyan low-cost carrier that's a subsidiary of Kenya Airways.

I was hoping for some fluffy and crunchy popcorns, but...

Bottled soda drinks tastes better than canned ones. Do you agree?
There's only one shower room inside the lounge.

The male toilet isn't big, and I'm sure the same can be said for the female toilet. I suppose there'll always be a queue during peak hours, especially for the latter.

Have you passed through Jomo Kenyatta International Airport before? If so, which airline did you fly out of Nairobi with?

Terminal 1A is the furthest from the lounge. Do give yourself enough time to walk to your gate since the lounge is rather out of the way; at least 15 minutes, I'd say.
