JPN: Hotel Sun Okinawa

1-5-15 Kumoji, Naha, Okinawa, Japan

From the town of Motobu, let's move on to the city of Naha. Hotel Sun Okinawa (3*) is the last hotel where my BFFs and I stayed at during our short trip. Situated by a channel, the hotel is within walking distance from Kencho-mae (lit. front of Prefectural Office) monorail station and RYUBO Department Store.

I can't remember the exact bus that we took, but as far as I know, there are three of them that directly connect Naha Airport and Naha city centre with Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. They are Okinawa Airport Shuttle, Yanbaru Express and Bus #117.

On average, the journey takes a little over two hours.

Shiroari 110 Ban is a company that deals with shiroari (lit. termites). I learnt a new word today.

Here's but one photo of the facade of the hotel.

We arrived just in time for check-in at around 3.00pm.

The hotel has got its own gift shop.
I think we were assigned to a triple room on the 13th floor.

To our dismay, we got a smoking room despite making a reservation for a non-smoking one. We decided to simply open the windows wide and use the air freshener provided in the room to get rid of the cigarette smell.

I saw some complimentary pickled plums, which can be bought at the gift shop downstairs.
There's a dressing table with a sink outside of the bathroom.

Have a look at the views from the room.

I've previously written about the buffet breakfast in my food blog.

Do you like burdock roots?

There's a communal bath at the hotel, but we didn't have the opportunity to use it.

In addition, the hotel offers bedrock bath that uses radium ores imported from the Bad Gastein region of Austria, one of the world's leading hot spring resorts. Special rates are available for hotel guests.
