Brunei International Airport, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei
Daily: 5.00am - 12 midnight
Booking a seat each in the Business Class cabin of Royal Brunei Airlines' Airbus 320 granted my BFF and I access to the one and only lounge at
Brunei International Airport. Having been in operation since 2004, the Sky Lounge has a seating capacity of 120.
The short flight from Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia brought us back to Brunei's small, yet peaceful airport.

What a long walkway to the transit area~ |
As we had previously explored the airport, we went straight to the lounge on the second floor.
|
The lounge was officially opened on 11 February 2004. |
Despite it being a relatively small lounge compared to many others around the world, there are a few different seating zones.
|
I wonder how many people use the massage chairs daily. |
|
There are quite a few traditional artifacts being displayed. |
As can be seen from the following pictures, the lounge was more or less empty when we were there.
|
You can admire the portrait of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. |
|
That's a pretty cool artwork showcasing Kampong Ayer (lit. Water Village) on the background. |
Some facilities include a business centre, lockers, as well as dedicated prayer and absolution areas for Muslim passengers, which I didn't take a picture of.
The breakfast buffet spread wasn't huge, but it was pretty interesting.
|
Bottled apple and orange juice imported directly from Saudi Arabia, anyone? :D |

The washroom is equipped with shower facilities.
As described in the website, it's indeed "an oasis of peace". Given the chance to, I wouldn't mind staying longer inside the lounge.
