SUR: Eco Resort Inn

Cornelis Jongbaw Straat 16, Paramaribo, Suriname

Owned by Torarica Group of Hotels, Eco Resort Inn (3*) was formerly a townhouse that has been transformed into an accommodation that allows everyone to "have a taste of nature". With a total of 122 guest rooms, it's within a short walk from the historic centre of Paramaribo.

Upon booking a room online, I made a request for a two-way airport transfer for my BFF and me, costing each of us US$30.00 (~S$41.55). Our driver was already waiting for us when we stepped out of the baggage reclaim area.

He turned on the radio for us to enjoy some music.

We were assigned to a room on the first floor.
Given that it's a resort that places importance in being one with the environment, I really didn't expect for the air-conditioning to be turned on prior to our arrival.

Both Pikachu and Melon agree that the bed is comfortable.

We were only given two complimentary bottles of mineral water throughout the 4D3N stay.

Here's a quick look at the bathroom.

I remember getting two new low-suds soap bars every morning.
From the standard room, there's nothing much to see outside.

The room that we were assigned to is at the corridor nearest to the reception area.

There's an elevator (not shown), so you need not climb up and down the stairs with your luggage.
Breakfast is served daily at Riverside Hut. Read more about the buffet spread here.

I guess there weren't that many people during our stay there from 6 to 9 June 2018.

That's the egg station.

We explored the grounds of the resort upon returning from centre of the town.

Such a tranquil atmosphere~

How about a game of chess with me over there?

The great kiskadee is omnivorous.
Besides a swimming pool, there's an artificial beach facing Suriname River.

Would you like to relax under a coconut tree?

That's the shortest coconut tree I've ever encountered thus far.
Take note that check-in time starts at 5.00pm daily. Check-out has to be done by 1.00pm on the day of departure.
