Christ Church Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral that's designated as a heritage building by the City of Vancouver. The first service was held on 23 December 1888 without a physical building at 720 Granville Street as the erection of the cathedral only commenced in 1889.

The cathedral is situated directly across from Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. It's within a short walking distance from Vancouver City Centre and Burrard metro stations.
That's the most ornate Celtic cross I've encountered thus far. |
Built in the Gothic style, the cathedral has its ceiling made of cedar woods and its floor constructed out of Douglas fir woods.
Behind the beautiful interior is a story of multiple alterations of the building. |
The latest organ, having 2,500 pipes, was installed in 2004. |
