The cathedral is situated directly across from Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. It's within a short walking distance from Vancouver City Centre and Burrard metro stations.

That's the most ornate Celtic cross I've encountered thus far.
Built in the Gothic style, the cathedral has its ceiling made of cedar woods and its floor constructed out of Douglas fir woods.

Behind the beautiful interior is a story of multiple alterations of the building.

The latest organ, having 2,500 pipes, was installed in 2004.
What's a cathedral without stained glass windows?

"And a harvest of righteousness is sown for those who make peace." (James 3:18)
I was fascinated by the colourful wall decorations in one of the alcoves.

The cathedral, which was once used as a landmark for ships entering the city's harbour, also serves as a memorial

James Cook achieved the first recorded European contact with Australia and the Hawaiian Islands.

For those who perished in World War I, World War II and Korean War~

There are four services every Sunday starting at 8.00am, 10.30am, 5.30pm and 8.00pm.
