Minoru Park, Richmond Library and Cultural Centre is a one-stop destination to feed your cravings for art, culture and history. It also offers a weekly new immigrant orientation seminar with practical information given in English and Mandarin.
I'm not too sure about the library, but the cultural centre first opened its doors to the public in 1993.

Pikachu and Melon took the chance to post next to a wooden aboriginal statue facing the building. |
The circular building has a pretty elegant interior.
|
There's a kiosk for you to grab a bite and/or a drink. |
The main branch of Richmond Public Library is housed in the same building as the cultural centre. It offers lots of activities for children and adults alike.

That so-called Electric Cat is Pikachu, no? |
The museum offers a constantly changing exhibition gallery. There's always something new to discover periodically.

Chops have been a part of Chinese culture for thousands of years.
The earliest known seals date all the way back from the Shang Dynasty (1600-1046 BC). |
When I was there, the Upper Rotunda Gallery along the circular corridor on the second floor featured some abstract artwork by Fanny Tang.
|
The circles represent the spiritual aspects of life that are infinite. |
Other facilities include a media lab and a rooftop garden, which I didn't get to see as I was only there for half an hour before it closed for the day.
