Cathay Pacific operates four departure lounges at Hong Kong International Airport. The Bridge is the latest addition that was declared open in October 2013. Occupying an area of 2,567 square metres, the lounge is split into two wings, north and south, without segregation for Business Class and First Class passengers.

My BFF and I went to The Wing at first, but there were too many people at Business Class section that we could barely find a comfortable place to sit. As such, we decided to go to The Bridge.
After getting our boarding passes scanned, we immediately turned right without thinking much, which led us to the north wing.
I fancy that pinecone-shaped lamp. |
Lots of scheduled departures within a span of 25 minutes! |
You can still see Cathay Pacific's old livery on some of its aircraft.
The somewhat dimly-lit dining area offers a range of food and beverages, some of which I've featured in my food blog.
You can expect a variety of soup items. |
The lounge stocks up quite a lot of 1.5-litre mineral water bottles. |
If you're lucky enough, you can get a seat at the long bar to enjoy a drink or two while watching the aircraft come and go.
The toilet is plain without many amenities.
It was only when we were about to leave the lounge that we realised the existence of the south wing, which was apparently much more peaceful that afternoon.
The lounge is adorned with many lovely curated decorations. |
There's an IT zone, which isn't found in the north wing.
The smaller dining area in the south wing serves a fraction of the array of dishes found in the north wing.
Shower rooms are located in the south wing, but we didn't have the chance to take a look inside.
