CAN: Vancouver International Airport

3211 Grant McConachie Way, Richmond, British Columbia, Canada

Vancouver International Airport is the second busiest airport in Canada behind Toronto Pearson International Airport. Did you know that it serves more direct flights to and from China than any other airports in North America or Europe? It's one of the few major international airports to have a terminal for scheduled floatplanes.

My BFF and I left Ramada Limited Vancouver Airport early in the morning. As the free shuttle service wasn't ready yet, the hotel paid for a one-way taxi for us to go to the airport.

The smooth journey to the airport took about 10 minutes.

We were dropped off at 5.45am.

We walked around the public area until Cathay Pacific's check-in counters weren't opened.

That's a giant otter!

I'd love to go to Puerto Vallarta, a resort town on the Pacific coast of Mexico.

It was so empty and quiet.

We were the first two passengers to be checked in that morning.
Before heading to the transit area, we went upstairs to check out the viewing gallery.

I spotted a single Air Canada aircraft.

My name is Charlie-Lima-India-Foxtrot-Foxtrot.

To be frank, I was rather surprised that there was no immigration clearance at all till the time we boarded our flight to Hong Kong.

We had to pass through that duty-free shop after security screening.

As of 2019, The airport has been named the Best North American Airport for a record of 10 consecutive years. Any opinion on this?

Seeing this photo just reminded me of Priority Pass that has recently increased the price of
each chargeable lounge visit from US$27.00 (~S$36.75) to US$32.00 (~S$43.60).

Just wondering, can anyone find Caramilk in Singapore?
We had to pass through another duty-free shop to go the gates.

That section on Pacific salmon and caviar caught my eyes the most.

Would you spend C$47,400.00 (~S$48,571.25) on that Scotch whisky? I wouldn't
There's a man-made river there.

It's a pretty tranquil space within the transit area.

Look at the amount of coins thrown by passengers!

Do you usually shop at the airport?

Branded goods, anyone?

I've mentioned this before, but some of you may know Church's Chicken as Texas Chicken.
We started to make our way to our assigned gate at 9.00am as the flight was scheduled to depart at 9.40am.

A school of fish~

We walked all the way to the end of the walkway to reach Gate D64.

There are some artwork near the gate where we'd be departing from.

What's your Chinese zodiac sign?

We spent most of our time at Cathay Pacific Lounge, having a light breakfast there before taking off.
