CAN: Inns of Banff

600 Banff Avenue, Banff, Alberta, Canada

Located at the northeastern end of the town of Banff is Inns of Banff (3*), a mountain resort hotel that's the terminus of the Roam bus system. It's owned by Banff Lodging Company, a big company that manages 11 hotels, 8 restaurants and 2 spas at the point of writing.

The Jasper to Banff One-Way Sightseeing Tour by SunDog Tour ended as my BFF and I reached the hotel at around 6.30pm.

Check-in time starts at 4.00pm, while check-out time is at 11.00am daily.

The prices of goods at the hotel's gift shop are lower than those in town.

There are many different types of rooms available. I'd booked a superior room with limited mountain view prior to the trip.

The spacious room is about 34 square metres in area.

Comfortable queen beds!

There's a closet next to the bathroom.

The bathroom is pretty spartan, but clean.

I love the packaging of the green tea-infused toiletries.
The hotel provides lots of quite a number of freebies for hotel guests: 10% off breakfast buffet vouchers, complimentary transit pass on the Roam bus system within the town and discount booklets that can be used in many restaurants and shops outside.

Join the hotel's green initiative by declining housekeeping service for the day if you don't require one. For helping to conserve natural resources, the hotel offers a C$5.00 (~S$5.15) voucher for use at participating food and beverage outlets within the hotel. We ended up getting two of such vouchers during our stay.

Here's the view from the balcony during the day. There's an outdoor pool, but it's only in operation when the temperatures are higher.

The two photos below were taken at 9.40pm during summer.

There's an art corridor featuring paintings and photos, some of which can be purchased if you're interested.

Have you seen a lynx in real life before?

Look at that blazing red sky~
There was a time during the stay when I had the warm water swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, all to myself.

It was so good to soak myself in the jacuzzi after a lot of walking during the day.

Below are more photos that I took.

There's a Japanese restaurant at the hotel.

At the top of the slope is a building that houses the more expensive condominium-type units.

I wasn't expecting to see a hair salon.

On the day when we were going to leave Banff National Park, we'd been planning to use our two C$5.00 (~S$5.15) vouchers for the buffet breakfast. However, circumstance had it that we had to consume our breakfast outside the restaurant. Click here to be directed to my food blog post.

I'm not exactly sure, but I believe the resort hotel has got 79 guest rooms and condominium units.
