JPN: Kansai International Airport

1 Senshukukokita, Izumisano, Osaka, Japan

Colloquially known as Kanku, Kansai International Airport is located on an artificial island in the middle of Osaka Bay. It was opened in the last quarter of 1994 to relieve overcrowding at the original Osaka International Airport, which is now known as Itami Airport. The latter only handles domestic flights now.

It was a short, but wonderful stay at Hasegawa Rinku Guest House West. The next morning, we took a train from Rinku-Town railway station to the airport.

At the airport railway station, we saw two pieces of artwork made of used train tickets.

I believe last December was my third time at Kansai International Airport, which looked pretty much the same as how I could remember at that point of time.

I love Mao Tai, a well-known Chinese sorghum spirit.

We were going to fly with Asiana Airlines in the Business Class to Jakarta, Indonesia.
Did you know that Terminal 1 of the airport is the longest airport terminal in the world with a length of 1.7 km?

The terminal was designed by Renzo Piano. an Italian architect.

At the point of writing, I haven't had Starbucks' matcha latte for about two years.

We took the internal shuttle to go to the gates.

Hello, CX!
Card Members Lounge Annex Rokko is open daily from 8.00am to 9.00pm.

In early 2020, the airport won a few titles by Skytrax: Best Airport Staff in Asia, World's Best Airport Staff and World's Best Airport for Baggage Delivery.

The sun was shining brightly that morning.

Due to its meticulous earthquake engineering, the airport emerged unscathed from
the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake. The windows remained intact too.
You can find a few eateries and shops near the gates.

I can never resist the temptation of the various Kit Kat flavours.
Terminal 2 serves only low-cost carriers.
