IDN: Ibis Budget Jakarta Airport
Jalan Raya Bandara Soekarno-Hatta, Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia
Transitting for a few days in Jakarta, Indonesia before flying back to Singapore after a trip elsewhere has almost become an annual December routine for me. My BFFs and I'd earlier decided on a branch of Ibis Budget (3*), which is located approximately 3 km away from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, for a good night's rest.

We took a Blue Bird cab to go to the hotel. It's among the most reliable and honest taxi brands in Jakarta, if not the entire archipelago. The hotel also runs a fixed timing shuttle bus service to and from the airport, but it didn't quite work for our arrival time.
Upon checking in, we booked three seats for the shuttle bus service to the airport at 8.45am the following day.
It costs only Rp 5,000 (~S$0.50) per person to take the shuttle bus. |
Beware of mosquitoes along the corridor when you get into your room.
There were two small issues in the guest room that one of my BFFs and I were in, but we didn't make a big fuss about it since we were staying only for a night.
The bedsheets had just a bit of stains. |
The door to the shower cubicle couldn't be closed completely. |
Take a look at the view outside the room at night and in the morning respectively.
On the first floor, there's an Internet corner that has got only one terminal.
There's a mini-mart that's supposed to be open round the clock, but it was locked when I checked it out that evening. Probably you can ask the front desk person for help should you need to grab something.
Breakfast is served as early as 3.00am at the hotel.
The rolls didn't look appetising. |
Don't forget to visit my food blog if you're curious what bubur manis (lit. sweet porridge) is. |
After checking out, we boarded the shuttle bus.
The shuttle bus also picked up passengers from the slightly more Ibis Styles Jakarta Airport next door (3*) before making its way to the airport.
