IDN: Liberty Hotel Thamrin

Jalan Sungai Gerong No. 2, Jakarta, Indonesia

After sending one of my BFFs off as he'd need to fly back to Singapore earlier, my other BFF and I made our way to the heart of Jakarta via the relatively new Soekarno-Hatta Airport Railink. Liberty Hotel Thamrin (3*) is a few minutes' walk from BNI City railway station and also located directly in front of one of the entrances to Dukuh Atas BNI MRT station.

The journey from the airport to BNI City railway station took less than 45 minutes. As we arrived at the hotel before 2.00pm, we couldn't go into our assigned room yet as it was still being cleaned.

We met a really friendly front desk lady that morning.

Guests can enjoy free-flow hot tea during the day.
When we went back to the hotel after lunch, we got the room keycard and a 15% discount voucher that can be used at a café called Dante Coffee housed inside the hotel.

We were assigned to a guest room on the second floor.

The size of each standard twin or double room is 24 square metres.

That's a very comfortable bed, I must say.

Even though Indonesia uses two-pin power plugs and sockets (types C and F),
each room is equipped with one three-pin power socket (type G).

Check out the bathroom.

Don't forget to lower the curtain, unless...

Kindly ignore the man that appears in the reflection.

There's an open-air seating area near the room with the exact same view as what I could see from the guest room we were in.

Here are a few photos of the interior of Dante Coffee, which is also the place where breakfast is served daily.

I wonder if they don't have a fridge to store those milk cartons.
Did I enjoy the breakfast at the hotel, you ask? Check out my food blog post.

Guava juice is quite popular in Indonesia. I don't like guava at all though.
You can walk to Grand Indonesia, a gigantic shopping mall, in 10 minutes or less from the hotel.
