I'd actually wanted to book a room at Smile Hotel Nagoya Shinkansenguchi again for the last two nights after returning from Gifu City, but couldn't find any available rooms. As such, I decided on Nagoyaeki Access Hotel (3*). As the name suggests, the latter is also within easy walking distance from Nagoya station.

The hotel name isn't displayed in English on the facade. I shall let these two photos serve as a visual guide.
Besides overnight stays, the hotel offers a flexible day-use plan between 6.00am and midnight for a minimum of three hours.
At the lobby, besides a range of snacks and drinks available for purchase, there's a section where guests can borrow any toiletries to bring up to their rooms.
I was assigned a room on the second highest floor.

The warm yellow lighting in the toilet gives it a slightly retro feel.
Here's a simple look at the surrounding buildings from the room, including a rather old-looking business hotel.
There's a laundry room on the second floor.
Given the small breakfast area, when the occupancy rate is high, guests have to indicate their preferred time slot from one of the four one-hour seatings between 6.00am and 10.00am.

Note that unlike in some hotels in Japan, this hotel enforces a strict non-smoking policy throughout the entire building.
