JPN: ANA Lounge @ Narita International Airport

I had about two hours to spend in ANA’s larger flagship lounge for Business Class passengers at Narita International Airport. As I stepped inside, I was welcomed by a faint, calming scent of ANA Original Aroma: a comforting blend of 12 natural fragrances, such as Japanese umbrella-pine, Yoshino cedar, rosemary and mint.

The lounge is located on the upper floor.

You'll see a concierge space after passing through the reception counter.


Anyone here who's an esteemed ANA Million Miler? No, not me.

More lounges across the globe could definitely benefit from such a shower room booking system.
You'll immediately enter the dining hall after passing through the reception counter.


The lounge employs counter-style seating instead of dining tables.

You can also opt for cook-to-order dishes from the noodle bar. Simply place your order through your mobile device and wait for the notification to collect your food once it's ready.



Here’s the seating area closest to the dining hall.



That's one of ANA's three Airbus 380-800 aircraft sporting the distinctive turtle motif.
More seats can be found across the walkway.


I wonder if anyone actually uses that payphone these days.

The larger seating area comes with a self-service beverage and snack corner, making it easy to grab some refreshments without having to walk all the way to the dining hall.


I almost wanted to experiment mixing some tomato juice and milk from the fridge for myself.


Not much of a view though...
I decided to have some umeshu (Japanese plum wine) in the end before leaving the lounge.
