COL: Avianca VIP Lounge @ El Dorado International Airport

Near Gate 32, El Dorado International Airport, Bogota, Colombia

The flagship lounge of Avianca is located on the second floor near Gate 32 of El Dorado International Airport. While it may not measure up to the standards of some other flagship lounges globally, it's fairly spacious and divided into two areas: one for Business Class passengers and Star Alliance Gold members, while the other is open to travellers accessing using programs such as DragonPass.

My BFF and I gained access to the lounge as we were going to fly out of the country with Turkish Airlines, a Star Alliance member, in the Business Class.

LATAM VIP Lounge is located across Avianca's.
The open-air design of the lounges makes it feel even larger.

"Area reserved for humans", it says.

Movistar, the largest telecommunications provider in Spain, has a significant presence in Latin American countries.
Thankfully, the lounge wasn't crowded at 2.00pm.

There are a few couches in the seemingly cozy alcove at the far corner of the lounge.
Head over to my food blog for more details on the food and beverages available for lunch.

What are your must-have ingredients for a perfect plate of salad?

The lounge offers wine from Undurraga Winery in Chile.
I suppose Samsung must've partnered with Avianca.

While not pictured here, there are lockers available near the children area.
Shall we check out the toilet? Not the female one, of course.

There's one wheelchair-accessible cubicle.
Showers are available, which I didn't make use of.

For the first time inside a lounge, I saw a sign explicitly mentioning that shower cubicles are for solo use only. I certainly can't help but wonder if they’ve ever had to enforce this rule or catch anyone violating it.
