MEX: Cancun International Airport
Cancun-Chetumal Highway KM 22, Cancun, Mexico
Located approximately 16 km southwest of the downtown area, Cancun International Airport is the easternmost airport in Mexico. Even though it's the second busiest airport in the country, handling approximately 35% of all international passengers, it's larger in size than Benito Juarez International Airport in the capital city.

Opened in 1975, the airport operates with two runways.
To reach the other side of the terminal where our flight would be departing from, we had to pass through a large duty free store.
At one particular shop, Melon's wish to wear the quintessential Mexican sombrero was finally fulfilled.
As we had some time to kill before boarding our flight, we decided to enjoy some Mexican food at Guacamole Grill for an early lunch.
In Central America, the USA's largest American Chinese fast food chain can be found in Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador.
