Founded in 1986, Air Transat is a Canadian airline based in Montreal with a fleet of 37 Airbus aircraft at the point of writing. Had it not been for the massive cancellations by WestJet, including our flight from Toronto, Canada to Cancun, Mexico, I probably wouldn't have been aware of the airline, let alone purchased a flight ticket from them.

Our flight was supposed to depart at 2.40pm, but there was a slight delay with the boarding call made after 2.15pm.

Too bad I didn't get to see Chichen Itza, one of the ancient Mayan ruins. Perhaps next time!

There are 12 seats in Club Class and 320 seats in Economy Class.

While the aircraft is equipped with personal In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system, headsets aren't given out for free.

Complimentary drinks were served during the flight.

I had to make a mandatory visit to the lavatory after finishing my orange juice.

Besides flying south, Air Transat also serves several destinations in the European continent.

Don't you just love the blue neon lights of the cabin?

The airline was engaged in talks regarding a proposed acquisition by Air Canada in 2019, but the deal was eventually dropped in 2021.
