CAN: Montreal - Trudeau International Airport

975 Romeo - Vachon Boulevard, Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Situated 20 km west of downtown Montreal, the international airport serving the area is named in honour of Pierre Elliott Trudeau, the 15th Prime Minister of Canada and the father of Justin Trudeau. The airport also houses the corporate headquarters complex of Air Canada, the nation's flag carrier.

To reach the airport, my BFF and I chose to go by Bus 747 from the downtown area. The one-way journey set us back C$11.00 (~S$10.85) per person.

That leads to the international check-in and departure area.

When the photo was captured, I hadn't yet travelled with any of the airlines shown.
We encountered a problem at the self-service kiosk of Air Transat. Fortunately, one of the staff members was quick to assist us, directing us to a less crowded manned counter. We were certainly grateful for the service.

The airport ranks as the third busiest in the country, and is one of the eight Canadian airports with the US border pre-clearance system put in place.

I should've put Pikachu and Melon on that chair next to the Christmas tree for phototaking.

I should've tried a pretzel from that chain that's been around since 1994.

Say hello to Mr. Moose!

There are three runways in operation at the airport, though but only two of them are used for take-off and landing. The oldest one has been decommissioned and serves solely as a taxiway.
Did you know that the airport was formerly known and is still commonly referred to as Montreal - Dorval?

There are five lounges available at the airport, one of which we visited before departing for Cancun, Mexico.
