Here's to a new travel series! Join us as we set out on our very first round-the-world trip, a voyage filled with anticipation and wonder as we went back to Canada after the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and ushered in the festive spirit of Christmas in Panama and New Year in Colombia. The journey began with EVA Air BR226 from Singapore to Taipei, Taiwan.

Truth be told, I've also lost most of the photos from this trip, so you'll continue to see them in a square format as I took them from my Instagram feed.

Luxe Vibes Christmas!
After completing the check-in process, my BFF and I fluttered over to the Butterfly Garden in the transit area of Changi Airport Terminal 3. It's the world's first butterfly garden in an airport, boasting about 40 species and a 6 m grotto waterfall.

The pineapples did look very sweet.

Established in 1989, the privately-owned EVA Air is one of the two largest airlines in Taiwan, along with the state-owned China Airlines. With the emergence of Starlux Airlines, competition in the industry is poised to intensify.

EVA Air's Boeing 777-300ER aircraft feature three cabins: Royal Laurel (Business), Premium Economy and Economy.

I still want to try their proper Hello Kitty flights someday.
After take-off, we were served mixed nuts and rice crackers, as well as beverages of choice, before the main meal service. Head over to my food blog post for more details.

Lunch main course #1: Wok-Fried Beef with Steamed Rice
Lunch main course #2: Shredded Chicken in Mushroom Sauce with Spaghetti

There's something truly magical about witnessing the setting sun from above the clouds.

What's your favourite Sanrio character?

Nothing like a mirror selfie in the lavatory!
I've written a post about the meal service in my food blog.

First meal main course #1: Fried Chicken with Green Tea and Potatoes
First meal main course #2: Wok-Fried Beef and Rice
Second meal choice #1: Chinese Style
Second meal choice #2: Western Style
More than half a day later, we finally touched down safely at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Welcome to Toronto!

How I've missed the early winter temperatures in Canada, especially when it's so unbearably hot here in Singapore at the point of writing!
