We've finally reached the last post to wrap up this series on my very first round-the-world experience. Starting from Singapore, crossing the vast Pacific Ocean to the Americas to the Americas, and returning via the Atlantic Ocean and beyond, it was an amazing trip. Turkish Airlines TK208 flew me back to Singapore from Istanbul, Turkey.

It was nice to be back at the glitzy Istanbul Airport, but there was no time to stroll leisurely through its expansive terminal as my BFF and I had to catch our connecting flight.

More like an art gallery than a transit area?

How I wish I could use that service for free.
I knew they wouldn't leave us behind due to the late arrival of our previous flight, but the boarding was delayed anyway in the end.

I stepped into the aircraft shortly after 5.30pm for a flight that was supposed to depart at 5.55pm.
It was my first experience flying aboard Turkish Airlines' Boeing 787-9.

We chose seats all the way at the back of the Economy Class cabin.

Not a bad seat pitch!

Let's scrutinise the items on the seat.

I wasn't expecting the colour of the headset to be blue, given that it's not their corporate colour.
The cabin crew handed out noise-cancelling headphones. Shortly after that, they followed up with a selection of welcome drinks. I opted for a glass of minty lemonade, while my BFF had orange juice.

No, I haven't, but definitely will try to visit as many places as I can before my time runs out.

Hello, sir! Thank you for your service!
Signaling the beginning of our journey was the safety demonstration video shown. As the aircraft pushed back, the cabin lights were dimmed.

Goodbye, Istanbul! I’m pretty sure I’ll see you again soon.

Lovely sunset hue~

Pulsing through the city like blood vessels, the network of roads carry the lifeblood of movement.
Enjoy the two videos I took during take-off.

Once we reached cruising altitude, the cabin crew distributed menu booklets and amenity kits.

I decided to watch Toy Story 4, diving into the heart-warming adventure of Woody, Buzz and the gang.

Key lessons are about embracing change and finding your purpose.
Time for dinner! Don't forget to visit my food blog for more details.

Dinner main course #1: Chicken Paprika with Buttered Rice
Dinner main course #2: Penne with Creamy Tomato Sauce

The lavatory was just behind me.

There's a magnifying mirror in the lavatory.

The cabin lights were dimmed after the first meal service. I finished my movie and then tried to get some shut-eye.

Not surprisingly, we hit some turbulence above the Bay of Bengal. That was when I started watching the second movie: Turning Red. While waiting for the second meal service, I played one of my favorite types of casual games on finding hidden objects.

For the second meal service, there was only one choice of main course available.

Breakfast main course: Izgara Kofte

As usual, I couldn't resist playing with the electronically dimmable window.

Purple is a lovely colour, don't you agree?

I was captivated by the aerial views captured by the aircraft camera.

Can anyone identify which Malaysian resort is that?
Welcome home, Cliff!

The aircraft parked at Terminal 1 of Changi Airport.

As my holiday trip to the Americas came to a close, I felt a sense of fulfillment and gratitude for the memories created along the way. I returned home ready to dive back into work, refreshed and inspired by the adventures I had.
