Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

Niagara Falls is a group of three waterfalls spanning the border between the province of Ontario in Canada and the state of New York in the USA. The largest of the trio straddles the international border, while the other two lie within the USA. In Canada, the city that goes by the same name was incorporated on 12 June 1903.

Formed by the Niagara River, the combined falls boast the highest flow rate of any waterfall in North America with a vertical drop of over 50 m. 



Luna Island, the small piece of land between the American Falls and the smaller Bridal Veil Falls, remains inaccessible to the public due to concerns about its stability. 


Not only Horseshoe Falls is the largest of the three, it's also the most powerful waterfall in North America based on flow rate.


Little did I know prior to the trip that the waterfalls would be illuminated beginning at dusk.

The illumination has been financed and operated by The Niagara Falls Illumination Board since 1925.


About 90% of the Niagara River, after diversions for hydropower generation, flows over Horseshoe Falls.

Canada offers the most breathtaking views of the waterfalls, while the USA is where you get to be closer to them.

Clifton Hill stands as one of the primary entertainment areas in Niagara Falls. Along its lively stretch, visitors will find an array of hotels, restaurants and themed attractions.

Niagara SkyWheel rises 53 m above the Niagara Falls horizon.


Great Canadian Midway features over 300 arcade games under one roof.


Beer enthusiasts shouldn't miss Niagara Brewing Company at Clifton Hill.


Despite not being a beer aficionado, I just had to hug that big can of beer that's taller than me.

Truthfully, I prefer ales to lagers.

Niagara Falls had a population of 94,415 according to the latest census done in 2021.


Sheraton Fallsview Hotel boasts itself as the top-rated hotel in town.

It seems like an unoccupied building.
