Formed by the Niagara River, the combined falls boast the highest flow rate of any waterfall in North America with a vertical drop of over 50 m.
Luna Island, the small piece of land between the American Falls and the smaller Bridal Veil Falls, remains inaccessible to the public due to concerns about its stability.
