MEX: City Express Plus Cancun

Federal Cancun-Puerto Morelos Road, Cancun, Mexico

My BFF and I were supposed to have the opportunity to unwind and enjoy a lovely dinner on the beaches of Cancun for half a day. Alas, it slipped away due to our WetJet flight cancellation. With our original hotel reservation cancelled, we quickly booked a room at City Express Plus Cancun (3*) located not far from the airport.

The lighting in the bathroom is somewhat dim.


Here's the view from the room.


There are quite a number of seating areas in and around the lobby.


The hotel is equipped with a small gym and a swimming pool, but we didn't get to use them.



Breakfast is served daily on the first floor from 7.00 am to 9.00am.



I just found out that the term 'continental breakfast' originated in the mid-19th century with the British referring to mainland Europe as the continent.


 The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport.


Although I believe it wasn't the case during our stay, the hotel is now managed by Marriott International.
